Ever since crocheted blankets and scarfs started making the rounds as gifts at my family gatherings, I decided I needed to try my hand at the craft. As you already know, I’m extremely partial to fabric and sewing, so I had no idea how much I would love to crochet! I find it to be the perfect way for me to wind-down at night. The latest episode of Gossip Girl, a crochet hook, and some yarn…I’m a happy girl!
Now I spend all my money on yarn!!!
Like, why did I start a large afghan with $15 a skein yarn? oh ya.. because I loved this yarn soooo much I couldn’t leave it on the shelf! I will need at least 10 skeins to finish..haha oh well, I’m doing my part to improve the economy : )
On a recent snowboarding trip to Utah I crocheted for 10 hours straight! There was lots of deep breaths taken to persuade myself I wasn’t getting car sick…because that would mean taking a break!
I even got my cousin Emily hooked! ( haha a little crochet humor..)
Now we are both hookers! yay!!
a new little obsession I thought I would share with you….
p.s. like the new layout?!!!!

I SEW get the obsession with crochet AND wait til you meet some knitting needles. More knitting in my life at this time, but guess that is because there are cute babies to spoil!!!!
Very nice new layout. You are both way too cute to be hookers. Just the other morning at breakfast Ezra says out of the blue "when will I see Emmy Red Hair again?" : ) Tell her hello from us!
Love your new header!! The colors you're using in your crochet are gorgeous.
ummm…you forgot to tell everyone about your mama, who ever so PATIENTLY taught you to crochet left-handed…no small feat, I might add!
Love the new layout and the crochet looks great. I especially love the ripple blanket.
I don't like the new layout… i LOVE it!!! Absolutely LOVE it! Yay! We're hookers now… very nice! I can't wait till you see my blanket! It's a work in process.. but so addicting!
Very beautiful, Maddie!! Hurray for us crochet-ers!
Love the new layout! You are getting verrrry tech savvy, Madeline! I love the crochet (I'm working on learning)- and how lucky of us to have Clever Knits right here in North County!
Is there another blog post with that quilt that's the background?! So cute.
xxo
