I have some big news to tell you that has been in the works for a while! We are opening an online fabric shop! It’s a lot of work, and a lot of entering to get it up and running but when it’s officially ready for business I’m excited to see how our demographic expands!  If you would like to check it out you can go to our website http://www.maisonnetteoceanside.com/ and you will see it there.  There is just a few little kinks to work out before we officially open our web store, but when we do you will be able to get the Maisonnette experience no matter where you are!!

On another note, here are some projects I’ve been working on the past couple of weeks.  I normally like to finish a project, take lovely pictures of it, put it on flickr, etc, etc, then blog about it. For some reason I just haven’t gotten it together enough these past couple of weeks to do individual blogs about each thing.  You would think all that rain we had would have made for the perfect opportunity to do things like blog about the things I’ve been meaning to blog about… hand write some friends I’ve been meaning to respond to… but no, that rain really threw me off! Now that it has stopped, (for the most part )I’m so thankful for all the greeness around me!! Even the empty dirt lot next to Maisonnette has sprouted a nice little ground cover!  

I’m so excited to share all these projects with you, so I’ll give a short explanation about each one and blog more later!!

This is a quilt I’ve been working on using a pattern called Born Dotty, and Amy Butler Love fabric.  I need to quilt it a little more, and bind the edges, then it will be done. I would like to turn this into a class…

These little cuties are my new favorite thing to make!! The pattern is found inside the Kaleidoscope book.

This is a dress I finished before Christmas but found out I needed to alter it when I went to put it on, and the front gaped open! It make me laugh because I was so crazed to finish everything I needed to get done before Christmas, that I never really bothered to try it on before I was at a hotel, with this as my outfit! HAHA I fussed with it the first part of the day, and then realized I could just temporarily hand sew it under the arms but yes, that was after a half day of the front gaping open. Oh well live and learn!! I really do love this dress, and the best part is I used Anna Maria Horner’s newest line Little Folks!! I’m IN LOVE with the voile… so more on that later!!

I also used the cotton voile for this SUPER EASY tunic top! More on this later…I can’t wait to tell you about how magnificent this stuff is to work with!!!!!
