Wow! Can you believe how the wonderful quilting women of San Diego County have come together to make over 60 quilts for the people of Japan!? It just amazes me! These quilts were made with so much love and even prayers! A wonderful group of ladies from The Chinese Community Church of San Diego put together 12 quilts and quilted them using the “tie” method. On Easter Sunday all the members of the church tied a knot in a quilt and said a prayer for the people of Japan. How amazing is that?!
Then we received 56 quilts from a local quilting guild! Each quilt is so lovingly constructed with so many personal touches, and I know who ever receives one will notice and cherish it. We also received many beautiful quilts from individual people. THANK YOU to all who participated! We can’t wait to deliver these quilts tomorrow afternoon! Once we deliver them to the Japanese fabric distributor in LA, they will ship it directly to Japan where they will be distributed to the people in need.
Blown away by this community’s generosity!
