If you would like to participate in giving comfort quilts to the people of Japan, please bring your quilts in by the deadline April, 27th. We will be driving the quilts up to our Japanese fabric distributor in LA who will mail the quilts directly to Patchwork Tsushin, Japan where they will be distributed to people in need. We are also dedicating Thursday nights, after Maisonnette closes, to making quilts. All are welcome to come sew! E-mail me at Madeline@maisonnetteoceanside.com if you would like to join us so we can know how many to expect!
Japanese Quilt Drive- We need your help!
After hearing about and seeing the images of the recent natural disasters in Japan, we all want to help in some way. Patchwork Tsushin, a leading Japanese quilt magazine, is collecting comfort quilts for those impacted by the recent earthquake in Japan. We are so excited to have this opportunity to directly help the Japanese people but we need your help!
The weekend after my birthday my cousins Jenna and Emily came up to celebrate with me. We completed 3 quilt tops in one Saturday! Girl power!!!
I am SOO excited to be able to purge my fabric stash, and have it go towards a worthy cause. HELLO, purge your stash = room for more fabric!
10″ x 10″ squares make for a super fast and easy way to make a stunning quilt top!!
