I’m packing for my 10 day vacation to Mexico… and sewing! I know that I really can’t complain to loudly but packing stresses me out! So in the middle of packing (how many bathing suits do I pack, am I going to feel like wearing skirts or shorts?!) I sporadically fit a little bit of sewing in to ease my mind.
I used some Amy Butler oil cloth to whip up this little pouch for holding sunscreen, chap stick, and other cosmetics you want at your side while lounging on the beach. The best part is its oil cloth on the inside too so I don’t have to worry about sunscreen or anything else leaking out onto everything in my beach bag. Just for fun I added a little ruffle of Anna Maria oil cloth to the flap. I think I’m really going to enjoy using this little thing that only took me 10 minutes to make!
I can hardly wait for this vacation!!! For the last 4 years we have made it a tradition to visit Tulum Mexico. It’s one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been, and when you are there you feel like you’ve found this secret undiscovered place. Tulum is very eco friendly and works hard to protect its animals and rain forest. For example all of the hotels and houses are solar and wind powered, and many of the environmental restrictions have prevented large chain resorts from moving in. All up and down the beaches are protected sea turtle nests, and once when I was in 3rd grade I got the experience a turtle laying her eggs on the beach. I even got to hold an egg in my hands, and touch the back of her shell. I love it, and I hope it stays the same forever!

The bag is great! And I am looking forward to you sharing some pics from Mexico:) xo!
Have fun….
